Twisted Oak We’re often asked what the background of Twisted Oak is, to which we invariably reply, “The Sierra Nevada, of course!” If we are pressed further, we are forced to admit that
Twisted Oak Winery is the culmination of a delusion, er, vision by Jeff and Mary Stai. The vision was of a terroir based winery making superior, hand crafted, yummy wines, and
then having more Twisted fun than anyone in the industry selling them.
Jeff and Mary found 120 acres just outside Murphys in the Sierra Foothills at nearly
2000 feet elevation. It is there that they planted 10 acres of vineyards in Tempranillo,
Grenache, Graciano, and Garnacha to take advantage of the continental Mediterranean
soil types and climate. It is on top of this property, with an amazing view of the Sierras, where the state-of-the-art, no-pumpover, four-level gravity flow winery was built.
Whatever the formula Jeff, Mary and Scott, have devised for Twisted Oak, it has been
validated by the hundreds of consumers that buy us out of wine each and every year. Twisted Oak Winery has also received accolades by publications and competitions
which have graced us with many scores of 90 or above. We think the Wine Enthusiast put it best “The gang at Twisted Oak Winery are taking winemaking in this area to
the next level…” Cheers! And always, keep it Twisted!

Aubin
Aubin Cellars
Jérôme Aubin, the proprietor of Aubin Cellers, has been working in the wine industry in France and California for the last ten years importing French oak barrels primarily from two coopers: Rousseau of Burgundy and Saint-Martin of Bordeaux. Having learned the barrel trade from artisan coopers and winemakers, Jérôme recognized how critical a comprehensive French oak barrel program has been to many wineries. His ongoing career in the barrel business enables him to visit yearly over 250 wineries in California, Oregon, Washington, New York, Ontario states and British Columbia. These numerous barrel tastings and sensory experiences provided Jérôme with an extraordinary opportunity to acquire an appreciation for different styles of wines; each equipped with its unique set of qualities and expressions He has also sought to benefit from these fruitful interactions with winemakers and from his numerous visits of various wine producing regions to inspire his own style.

Carica Wines

Carica Wines
Carica Wines is a new winery started in 2005 by two friends, Charlie Dollbaum and
Dick Keenan, to produce wines of extraordinary character fromsmall lots of
premium Sonoma County wine grapes.  Dick has supplied the grapes, and Charlie
his winemaking skills, for our first bottling –a 2005 Sauvignon Blanc.

Our winery takes its name from the hardy fig trees (botanical name, Ficus carica)
that accent the source of our wine grapes, Kick Ranch vineyard.  Carica’s fig leaf
insignia is inspired by these trees, too.  Kick Ranch vineyard is owned and planted
by Dick Keenan and Kathy McNamara.  Located in Sonoma’s Rincon Valley, Kick
Ranch is on the western side of the northern flank of Spring Mountain, which
separates Sonoma and Napa Counties.  The vineyard is sited on an alluvial bench
having soil with an amazing mix of volcanic and other rock that contributes a rich
minerality to wines.  The vineyard is laid out for perfect sun exposure and has a
20 mile vista down to the Petaluma Wind Gap, providing cool nights and foggy
mornings, ideal conditions for growing premium wine grapes. Dick’s commitment
to provide Carica Wines with ultra premium fruit is backed by sustainable
farming practices with a focus on healthy, balanced vines, tended by one of
Sonoma County’s premier vineyard managers. Kick Ranch grapes are now s
ought after by several other premium wineries.

R&B Cellar
R&B
R&B Cellars was established to create some of California's finest Cabernet Sauvignon. The company was started in 1997, and in 2000 released a premium Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes were hand-selected from prime vineyards located in growing areas from the Rutherford Bench to the top of Mt. Veeder. A "side project" of winemaker Kevin Brown and partners, R&B Cellars produced 230 cases in 1997 and successfully promoted the vintage nationally.
The family shares a love of jazz and classical music, and all are accomplished musicians, singers and songwriters. According to the Browns, R&B stands for "rhythm and blues," a phrase which calls to mind the idea that drinking wine should be fun, not pretentious. The Brown family finds wine and winemaking to be two of the greatest pleasures in life, and that wine consumption should always be associated with the celebration of family, friends, and great food. We encourage that wine consumption, however, should always be undertaken with a sense of responsibility.

Everett Ridge

Esterlina Vineyards
Esterlina Vineyards is a Sterling family owned California boutique winery located near the Mendocino coast, nestled in the highlands above Philo. From our world-class award winning Russian River Valley and Anderson Valley Pinot Noirs, to our sought after Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, wine enthusiasts love Esterlina wines. Call us before a visit to our tasting room and enjoy great wine tasting with great views of the Anderson Valley grape growing region of California.
